‘Hydra Waterfront’
26 x 44 in / 66 x 112 cm Acrylic on Canvas 2017
£2,250
Based on the idea of a patchwork of images or an arrangement of photographic
images to convey the spirit of a place, this painting is a record of a much loved island in
Greece. The painting is a kind of visual diary. The busy images of the painted border
surround the central, much less crowded, image which is the bay that lies at the heart of
the island. The viewer is invited to enter the picture and explore, drawn in by the line of
animals and figures to the red building centrally placed.
